MONEL K-500(UNS N05500) Bar/Rod

IMG_0750.jpg
Age-Hardenable Nickel-Copper Alloy for High Strength and Corrosion Resistance

MONEL K-500 bar is widely used for machined components requiring exceptional corrosion resistance in aggressive process media. The alloy resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking, and maintains excellent corrosion performance in welded and fabricated structures due to its extremely low carbon and silicon.

As a professional Chinese nickel-based alloy manufacturer, we supply MONEL K-500 bars with stable chemistry, consistent mechanical properties, and flexible dimensional customization for global industrial users.

Key Characteristics

• Age-hardenable (precipitation-hardenable) for high strength and hardness
• Excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, brines, and many chemical environments
• Good resistance to corrosion fatigue and erosion in marine service
• Low magnetic permeability, suitable for non-magnetic components
• Maintains strength and ductility from cryogenic temperatures to moderate elevated temperatures
• Suitable for high-strength shafts, fasteners, springs, and downhole tools

Fabrication & Welding

MONEL K-500 can be fabricated and welded using standard nickel-copper alloy practices.
Common welding methods include:

• GTAW (TIG)
• GMAW (MIG)
• SMAW

Matching nickel-copper filler metals (ENiCu/ERNiCu family, e.g., ERNiCu-7) are commonly used; final selection depends on service environment and required properties.

Quality Assurance

• EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificate
• Chemical composition analysis
• Mechanical testing (tensile, hardness)
• PMI / XRF testing available
• Dimensional inspection
• Third-party inspection on request (BV, SGS, TUV, DNV)

Packaging & Delivery

• PVC protective film on surface (where applicable)
• Wooden pallets or export-grade crates
• Seaworthy packaging for long-distance shipment
• Global delivery by sea, air, or multimodal transport
